All right, just a tiny update: Mom's awash in medical complications, but she's stable and bored (which we agree is better than tubed and sedated). I'm exhausted, third on my leader board, and running around trying to deal with all the protest peeing that's occurred whilst the household schedule has been disrupted. Uncharitably, I've found myself thinking, What would life be without the cats?

*shakes fist at universe*
