The Hippogriff Cookbook?!

The Hippogriff Cookbook—how did I not know about you? I'll have to check out its Tumblr page when I've more time.

Speaking of Hippogriffs, I'd like to see a Hip. chick hatching in one of the Fantastic Beast movies. Shog would like to see one being fed . . . people parts. *shakes head at husband* I'm pretty sure that Hippogriffs treat their young to a soup of regurgitated nutrients rather than actual meat bits, although perhaps they do bring the odd ferret or two to older chicks.

On a non-ferret food-related note, Shog and I've decided that Dirty Gimme Lean Quinoa is an acceptable substitute to Dirty Quinoa (which features chicken livers and ground pork instead of Sausage-Style Gimme Lean); it's at least more satisfying than Dirty Riced Cauliflower. Increasingly, I think think that Dirty anything would be better with less meat and more veg, but Shog's slow to accept the idea (and somewhat appalled by the vegetarian turn of my thoughts of late).

I expect he'll want to try some of the Hippogriff recipes when I tell him about the cookbook, though.

My only thought: where can you go to buy Hippogriff meat? Because, obviously, the Hippogriff cookbook would be full of recipes in which you would need either Hippogriff meat, eggs, or other parts, to make them.

I believe they've helpfully included substitutions. :) —Iuls

"A hippogriff is a magical flying protein source with an eagle’s torso and a delightfully horsey posterior..."

I found that funny, too. :D —Iuls
