Happy Valentine's Day!

I'm still a Capricorn, thank you very much, and if you're also a tropical zodiac kind of girl, you're still a Scorpio—but if you want to tell Snape that you're an Ophiuchus and can "handle big serpents," go for it. *snorts*

I don't entirely understand the reasoning behind this shift of signs, all I know is, I still don't believe any of it ;)

Hee! That attitude can only help you with Snape. ;)

I've never actually believed astrology anyway, and have known about missing Ophiuchus since junior high astronomy, but I still resent being bumped an entire two signs. One would have been OK, but I am not going to suddenly start thinking of myself as a Virgo rather than a Scorpio. The bit where Virgo is now 6 weeks long while Libra is 3 weeks and Scorpio only 6 days makes very little sense - if the circle is that unbalanced, maybe they need to ditch the whole thing and come up with something completely new instead of hanging onto the old signs at all.

I'm with you on both points. "They" would have it that I'm a Sagittarius, which, while I have nothing against Sagittarians, is simply not accurate. *clings to sign of goat*

None of it has ever made any sense to me.

I do get the variable times from an astronomical point of view, but not so much why anyone would suddenly care about such things now after 3000 years. It's not like they didn't know about Ophiuchus back then, they just thought it was more important not to have 13 signs, because that was an unlucky number.

I've always thought that 13 was a lucky number. *is contrarian*

I just looked up Ophiuchus in the hopes that Harry was born near enough to it to write a crack fic with him saying that his new sign was a sign that he and Severus were meant to be together. Sadly Harry's birthday is no where close to when Ophiuchus supposedly occurs.

That is sad because it would have made for fun fic. *hugs*

I could say that I was a Ophiuchus if I knew how to pronounce it.

I'm pronouncing it "o PHI uh cuss." :)
