Links and cleaning-related dismay

Dyson air multipliers (bladeless fans) are cool, but I'm not paying $299.99-449.99 for one!

Twitter is currently down for GZZZJHARRVVVXXS!!!!!!! This may be due to the heat (NWS language), or it could be Daleks.

Fables looks like an interesting graphic novel. Without seeing it in person, I know that this spiral stair slide is cool. *covets*

This old fogey 's remembrance of vampires past makes me giggle (NWS language).

Mom's annoyed with me because I won't let her wander over whenever she likes now that she's moved out, nor will I listen to her bitch endlessly about the issues she's having with her new place. She's the one who moved without warning into a tiny, unsuitable apartment, leaving my home in chaos, so she's the one who needs to deal with her problems. *still quite angry* That said, Shog and I have helped her and do listen up to a point, but no, Mom, you can't come over randomly now and interrupt Naked Time—or get in the way of cleaning.

Yes, cleaning (the cats are horrified): I discovered this morning that behind Shog's bathroom hook, the door has gone moldy. Mold! On the bathroom door! *scrubs* That was enough to move me to begin major cleaning and laundry operations. Shog was helpful until he had to leave to go be helpful to a friend, but I've not forgotten him. *makes list*

In other news, I've developed an appreciation for kale; did you know that one could make kale chips? I'm going to try that and several other recipes for kale that I've found because kale is frighteningly nutritious and cheap. I'm craving dark, leafy greens and things like beets, purple cabbage, and cherries; dark fruit and veg are my friends. Unfortunately, so is cheese, and I should not eat cheese, at least not cheese made from cow's milk. *loves her cheddar*

Oh, and I recently posted a recipe for cherry bread which I find is greatly improved by the additions of 1/4 cup of sour cream and 1/4 cup of orange juice, but one must increase the baking time to 1 1/2 hours. It's worth the wait.
