That's interesting that the poll now shows the mean, median and standard deviation on the answers to the 10-point Likert scale questions.

Shog thinks so, too, and even though he's rarely interested in the content of my polls, he always wants to watch them. :P

Hello! It's good to see you. :D

Despite mostly working with continuous data, unlike most of my colleagues I do find survey data fascinating – though obviously there are many pitfalls to setting up a survey.

Good seeing you too! I updated for the first time in half a year. Wonder if I am to keep that up. *snorts*

I am moving more into genfic, to be honrst. Okay, s little romance or smut is fine, but I'd like to see more interations with people and situations uncomplicated by anything worse than a littlt UST on thr romantic front, but other feelings and attachments

I'll write something to make us gen people happy. If my plot goblins allow me to.

I love genfic, particularly when it leads to a more thorough exploration of the magical world; Snape in his preferred element is love (but of course, I do like to see him in a Muggle setting, as well—I like him however I can get him!).

Increasingly, I find that I skim sex scenes; they read more like "insert tab A into slot B" to me than anything exciting—but romance still grabs my attention, especially if it isn't sweet and doesn't run smoothly.

I do like to see him in a Muggle setting

I always thought that though he may feel a certain disdain for it, he could navigate it easily, perhaps even use some knowledge gained there to enhance his potion crafts.

I agree with the person who said that s/he is drifting more towards gen fic lately. I still love to see interactions between characters, the usual, the unusual – perhaps a hint of romance but mainly some good character and world exploration.

Button polls are frustrating! In almost every category, my answer ought to be "I prefer this, but I also like this, and I'm willing to try that, and hey, maybe I want to choose everything!" I didn't even try to answer "how I take my Snape" because I don't have specific preferences there, and all the possible scenarios sound intriguing to me.

Basically, more Snape in all permutations, please, although my het impulses run to Minerva rather than Hermione, and I avoid kid fic 98% of the time. However, it's a fact that most of my Snape ships are slash: Snape/Harry, as you know, Snape/Filch, Snape/Dumbledore brothers (separately, not together), Snape/Moody, Snape/Sirius, Snape/Neville, and so on.

I do love smut, but I'm hard to please on the romance front (Snape isn't good at it, IMO), and my favorite thing of all is UST. And possibly hurt/comfort. And Snape being competent and magically brilliant.

I agree about button polls, but my first draft of the poll gave way too many choices. I found that I had to limit myself (and hoped that people would take things to comments as you did).

Basically, more Snape in all permutations, please . . .

Pairing Whore reporting for duty! That said, I don't know that I could pull off a convincing Snape/Moody; the pairing begs for the sort of dysfunction I don't want to contemplate as a writer (but that I would be fascinated to read about). Your explorations always intrigue; I know you could make anything prickly and difficult work wonders.

Severus is ferociously intelligent; its led him into trouble, I feel, for not having an appropriate and wholesome *coughs* outlet in myriad permutations of his character.

It's nice to see you around! I'll try to be around more so that I have the opportunity to see you around. :P *waves*

I'm a strict SSHG shipper. Only very occasionally have I strayed. I like to read him in most facets. I will take a peek at most SSHG fics...don't necessarily love them all, but some are perfect. Looking forward to reading the Snapecase entries!

"Do you ever take your Snape in gender- or sex-switch works?"

I voted "no" but it does need a little explaining: I do like a good mpreg-story, but I'm not sure if that's really "gender- or sex-switch".

I had to use the pairing-abbrevations as there wasn't enough room for the pairings. ;) Come to think of it, I also don't mind SS/SB/RL...

Mpreg doesn't necessarily mean sex-switch, but I have read it that way.

I understood all your abbreviations save these two: SS/RH and SS/AF; who are they? I know I'll feel like a twit once you tell me, but right now, I can't bring them to mind!

It's Snape/Rubeus Hagrid and Snape/Argus Filch :)

It's funny, I used to post in Andropotterist, but I don't think I ever really switched Snape's gender, apart from a bit of crossdressing. I think I prefer Snape's gender to be male.

OMG, how did I not know that? *headdesk*

I prefer Snape male all the way, myself (but I do enjoy a good girl!Harry).
