"Lots of corpse flowers bloomed in 2016 and nobody knows why" (WS article). Could solving this mystery be the answer to last year's murderousness?

On a completely unrelated note, here's a Japanese game show that's not about violence at all: Orgasm Wars (non-explicit NSFW video).

On the emotionally satisfying front, I love the story of Joseph "The Mighty Atom" Greenstein's altercation with 18 Nazis (warning for tall-tale violence), mostly because it's largely a fairytale. In reality, however, I think it's best not to resort to violence as a means of silencing speech (warning for real violence), no matter how despicable, because it just deepens the fears of the despicable speakers—and fear is the root of all evil. The best way to fight hate speech is with more speech (WS link).

Fun: No matter how extreme our emotions (WS image), there are many responsible ways in which we can express them (WS image). Sometimes, a single kind act (WS GIF) is worth more than any number of words. The point is to keep trying to make yourself heard even if your technique needs work (WS GIF). Express yourself (WS GIF)! Go your own, peaceful way (WS GIF)—no matter that people might not always agree with your perspective (warning for Vermont's maple syrup logo).

Okay, you knew I'd have to click on it after that warning, right?

(Because of the implied penis.)

(As you heavily implied. :P)

How do they not notice that?! They had to have noticed that!

P.S. The comments are also filled with other, similarly problematic logos.

Also, Orgasm Wars.

Why did it take the world so long?

Haven't we all read this at least once? *snerk* If I ever travel to Japan, I'm going to leave time in my schedule to watch t.v. ;)
