The hellcat is determined to remain angry.

Claw-clipping did not go well, today, especially with Merva. We were forced to turn her into, not a purrito but a growlito—and she still managed to draw blood from Shog and I, terrify her dog (who ran from cat to cat, post-clipping, to snerf each one), and stress herself too much for us to complete her clipping.

In the aftermath and before we left with the dog for a long walk, I sprayed Feliway all over the bed because that is where most of her napping occurs. When we returned, I couldn't find her anywhere at first, but eventually, I found her in a place in my office that she's never slept before, the contrary beast!

*shakes head*

Is there feline valium? Her dew claws are so long that I'm certain they're hurting her.

I only take the tips, and then, only when they've grown too long, which is long enough to hurt the cats.

Merva has an extreme aversion to being restrained in any way at all, but her dew claws are curling into her paw pads and must be clipped. She's the only one of our fuzzies who won't calmly submit to clipping, and she's been deemed "unstable" by the vet. *sighs*
