Pumpkin!

Here are those pictures of my Stuffed Pumpkin with Everything Good that I promised:

Note: I used an entire cup of heavy cream this last time (and two Wegmans' sourdough rolls).

Awesome. I have been poking around epicurious looking at Thanksgiving-type recipes and have that recipe open in another tab right now due to it sounding so awesome. Is it as tasty as it sounds like it would be?

Yes, yes it is! It also smells great while baking and is v. filling. I love this recipe.

It looks delicious! My mom and I love pumpkin/winter squash, but my dad and brother do not, so we almost never have it. Maybe I could do something similar for just me with an acorn squash, though.

Wee pie pumpkins are cheap, and leftovers of this would be worth having—but using a two-pound pumpkin for just you and your Mom would be fine. :) It's really good; make the guys get take-out!

Not a big fan of pumpkin but I love your cooling rack/trivet thingy. And your flour and sugar canister set. :)

Oh, thank you! :D Mom gave us those things at various Christmases; she has excellent taste.

I'm envious of people whose kitchens seem to be full of matching sets of canisters, small appliances etc. Mine is made up a hodge-podge of stuff I inherited from my mom who bought it all over the years from various inexpensive stores and, having inherited her frugal nature, I just can't make myself toss out perfectly good stuff to replace it with expensive 'matching' sets.

For instance, I have a battered painted tin flour canister ... I have NO idea where the sugar one went to or if there ever was one. :) I bought a couple of black tupperware flour and sugar canisters at a local cooking store a few years ago but still haven't tossed out the dented tin flour one.
